A: It was truly... how do I put this? At first, we reserved Tokyo Dome for three days so we could give a concert. But because of the times, we were concerned about the running out of electricity. We wondered what we could do, and that’s how this charity event came about.
C: Right.
A: And well... it was a strange experience. For starters, for us to teach... at such a large venue like Tokyo Dome...? We were worried whether our lectures would get through to the audience.
C: Mm-hmm.
A: To hold an event without singing. But it turned out to be an incredibly fun experience!

C: “There was a common idea throughout all the classes: Noticing the Everyday Details. (*note: This common idea was also the slogan for Waku Waku Gakkou) This theme taught me that in noticing the details, we find surprise, wonder, kindness, and appreciation. During your Paku-paku class (*note: “Paku-paku” is an onomatopoeia that means ‘munch-munch’), you showed us the process of how pigs that were raised for food end up in our kitchen. In doing so, we learned to appreciate the manufacturer, the one cooking the food, and life itself when sitting down at the table to eat. You looked pained when you had to mark the pigs that had to be sent to the slaughterhouse. But what left an impression was that you did your job, anyway, sharing in the farmer’s hopes that consumers enjoy eating his pork.”
A: I see.

A: To hear that kind of thing... it makes me happy. I was hoping we could convey all those things; that’s why we held this event. We learned a lot, too. Preparations started about a month ago. To appreciate being able to eat... I researched that a lot, made sense out of it in my mind, and that’s what I presented in my class.
